This blog is about newspaper design and its history (particularly in Australia). Social, political and technological factors have always dictated the look of our papers. I'm writing a history and am looking for sources and anecdotes. In time I'll get into the design side of things in a serious way. Meanwhile, this is a kind of online "post-it" note set-up to remind me of some things I want to have a close look at when I get to the next stage of my project.
I am researching the history of newspaper design in Australia. If anyone out there ever comes across anything which might be of use to me (not necessarily about Australian news design), I hope you'll contact me. I will update this blog whenever I have new information.
